I recently discovered that in the basement of the main branch of the public library there is a used bookstore run by volunteers. The money raised from the sale of books support our libraries. The best thing: these books are cheap. Very cheap. I'm getting fairly new/recent books for $2 and that is hardcover. I can usually pick up a paperback for 50 cents.
Another good thing is that once read, I can donate them again if I don't want to keep them and it's resale will raise even more money.
I'm in heaven!
